Exploring the New Zealand government webpages always gives me a few surprises… the latest?

My government syndicates its news in RSS!

The page can be found at govt.nz RSS Feeds, and has two different feeds, one containing only the main items, and one containing more locally-applicable news.

Other things of note on the New Zealand e-government page include xNAL, an XML-based framework for encoding names and addresses. How many governments can claim to support things like this?

Sometimes I’m almost glad to live in this country…
