The ability to retrieve hoodwink.d results as Atom feeds (perhaps with a spec-extension to specify where the comments are meant to be attached, something like <hood:hookPath xmlns:hood="hoodwink.d"> //div[@id='comments'] </hood:hookPath>) would be absolutely killer. This then leads to the proliferation of annotation-servers, each serving a particular community their own comments. Perhaps wink-aware pages will be able to embed the comments directly, and/or provide <link>s in their HTML to their own annotation services. Or not. We’ll have to see where this goes.
